Auckland, never a big bike city, is becoming more cycle-friendly: guest contributor Amber Parkin tells us why and gives us the pros and cons of her city’s bike sharing scheme.
Throughout the two days of the event, there is an amazing feeling of inspiration and energy. It’s a casual atmosphere where new friends are made and new colleagues discovered. It’s this that sets Semi-Permanent apart, a shared feeling that you belong to a community.
Auckland City is the second most diverse city per head of population after Toronto in Canada. Creative Cities is connecting emerging leaders amongst the indigenous Maori population, and aspirants from the burgeoning Asian and new migrant communities, with leaders from the UK.
Aspiring artists and performers from Auckland’s urban ethnic communities worked with the best of contemporary UK talent to create an album and live performance.
